Relationship based on Trust vs Fix

When you speak with a client or you being a client of a startup you tend to check whether they fit with you or your business. According to the inputs you get you decide that you should / should not work with the other party. That is the general start of a relationship.

Since you establish a relationship you tend to change your reaction towards the other party based on the initial perception you generated. Obviously thinking that it’s permanent. For an instance you have an initial discussion with “A” person and it has been amazing and the other hand the experience with person “B” kinda frustrating. So next time you speak / see the person “A” you welcome with a greedy smile but not with the same with person “B”.

The fact we don’t know is that maybe person “B” would be a better in the long run compared with “A” or the other way around.

So how we overcome this?

There is a common saying that “look with a fresh state of mind!” What I basically do is no matter what input I get from my faculties, I put 100% trust with the other party. So you see the flow is so natural. Most of our clients we work with don’t have any agreements. But mutually we have a pretty special bond. Because I trust them 100% and so do they.

Leak in the flow

Eventually you see some holes here and there. What should we do for that? Well we don’t try to fix them. We tell/explain them the scenario and move forward. Again with a mutual trust. If not we wish them good luck with no strings attached. Obviously not harming the other party.

Why fix won’t work?

From my experience the more we try to fix the more fragile the relationship is. Because we fix it based on the initial perception we have. The thing we need to understand is that it’s not permanent. That means if we take decisions based on some sort of a unknown fact there is high possibility to break.

Conclusion

Trust ! Make the flow smooth.
